APE - Audiometry Performance Emulator - Version 2

This software emulates patient performance for learning audiometry. The interface simulates an audiometer allowing control of pure tone and masking stimulus presentation. Patient response is based on the individual sensitivity and stimulus transmission characteristics that have been set, including an element of randomness. The emulation includes cross-hearing, peripheral masking, cross-masking and central masking. Teachers may add to the database of patient characteristics, hiding details with password protection. Additional databases may be defined, for example to provide controlled tests for student assessment.

The emulation runs under the following Windows operating systems: 95, 98, ME, 2000, XP.
